Composer and pedagogue. He excelled in the production of choral work and chamber music, although he also wrote several works for orchestra. He was also an important personality in the recovery and harmonization of traditional Catalan songs, which make up much of his musical discourse.
He studied flute, harmony, counterpoint and fugue at the Conservatori Superior de Música de Barcelona and composition and instrumentation at the Conservatori Superior de Badalona. He was part of the Laietà Quartet between 1976 and 1980. He was teacher at the Conservatory of Sabadell, where he founded the Chamber Orchestra of this center between 1982 and 1985. Subsequently, he was teacher at the Conservatori Municipal de Cervera. He conducted several choirs, including the Orfeó de Tremp and the Orfeó Artesenc.
In the field of musical creation, he cultivated various modalities, among which the following works stand out: "Cançó de llaurar" for orchestra (premiered by the Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona, ??1982). "Dos poemas d'E. Dickinson" for mezzo-soprano and chamber ensemble, "Els camins del sol", symphonic poem for great orchestra (premiered by the Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona, ??1990). "Moviment per a un estiu", ballet for string orchestra (premiered in the Auditori de Sant Cugat by the Cervera Conservatory Orchestra, 1992), "Confidències a A. Machado" on a poem by Pere IV, for soprano and orchestra (premiered by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallés, 1997). He was a finalist in several composition awards, he received several awards in the Ciutat de Reus (1989, 1995 and 1996) and the 1st Catalunya Prize for choral works (FCEC 1995).
