She started studying music at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu de Barcelona at the age of five. There he studied with Francesc de Paula Sánchez Gavagnach, singing with Giovanna and violin with Agustí Torelló Ros.
She was the first woman to compose an opera in Catalonia, an exceptional event in her time. He wrote it before he turned 18 and was about to premiere at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, but the bomb dropped on the theater stalls on November 7, 1893, made the programming of that winter season falter and the opera was never led to the stage. At the same time, she presented it at the World's Fair Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893 and received a diploma. She was finally able to premiere it partially before the royal family in the Royal Palace of Madrid in 1894. She wrote a second opera, “I briganti”, which he did not orchestrate.
She wrote mainly pieces for piano and songs for voice and piano. After getting married in 1896, she abandoned composition and public concerts. She resumed composition in 1907 and public musical activity when she was widowed in 1924. She had lost four of her five children and her husband.
She was also a piano and violin teacher, the two instruments she mastered.
